When it comes to flooring solutions for industrial, commercial, or even residential spaces, epoxy and polyurethane floor coatings are two of the most popular options available. Both offer durability, aesthetic appeal, and resistance to various environmental factors, but they have distinct characteristics that make them suitable for different applications. Note:

Prohibit Apply in Reverse Order: Polyurethane can be used over epoxy flooring, as a protective topcoat, but epoxy over can not be used on top of polyurethane. Epoxy has very poor interlayer adhesion to polyurethane, leading to delamination and peeling.

Substrate Preparation is Key: Regardless of the type chosen, 95% of flooring failures cause is from improper substrate preparation. Epoxy is extremely sensitive to moisture in the substrate, while polyurethane is highly sensitive to oil and dust. Before application, ensure the surface is clean, dry, and firm.
